In its working state this page will show a picture every day.
In its purest form that picture will be a composite of 2 pictures : 1 from today and 1 from yesterday, from the same camera viewpoint and location, layered on top of eachother with Photoshop's 'difference' layer blending mode.
A text will accompany the picture, reflecting on (the) difference.
In pixels where the layered images are not different, the result should be black. In 'difference pixels' the result should be non-black. Here's an example, from 2 pictures taken minutes apart on my iSight camera :
Variations are possible : different cameras (or even image sources in general), time intervals, locations, and number of layered images, as long as the image is the result of a difference blending effect (with a chosen solid color as the non-difference base), and is meaningful.
